Welcome to SIGdial 2007!

Continuing with a series of successful workshops in Sydney, Lisbon, Boston, Sapporo, Philadelphia, Aalborg, and Hong Kong, this workshop spans the research interest area of discourse and dialogue.  This series provides a regular forum for the presentation of research in this area to both the larger SIGdial community as well as researchers outside this community.  The workshop is organized by SIGDIAL, the Special Interest Group on Discourse and Dialogue, which is sponsored jointly by the Association for Computational Linguistics and the International Speech Communication Association.

The 8th SIGdial Workshop on Discourse and Dialogue was held on September 1-2, 2007.   The Workshop met at the University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Invited Keynote Speaker: Dr. Herbert H. Clark, Professor of Psychology at Stanford University

Online proceedings are now available!

SIGdial 2007 was co-located  with Interspeech 2007 as a satellite workshop, and was held immediately following the conference. The Young Researchers Roundtable on Spoken Dialogue Systems was also co-located with our event on September 3.

It was a pleasure seeing all of you at Antwerp!
